Preparation before gas cutting
When cutting metal surfaces, rust, dust or oil stain shall be carefully removed. The damaged cutting parts shall be leveled to facilitate heat release halo and slag removal. Never cut on the cement floor, because the cement floor will crack in case of high temperature. The specific requirements before cutting are as follows.
① Check whether the workplace meets the safety requirements, whether the cutting torch, oxygen cylinder, fast cylinder (or B fast generator and flashback preventer), rubber pipe and pressure gauge are normal, and connect the gas cutting equipment according to the operating procedures.
② Before cutting, first level the workpiece and leave a certain gap under the workpiece to facilitate the blowing of iron oxide slag. During cutting, in order to prevent the operator from being burned by splashed iron oxide slag, baffle can be added if necessary.
③ Adjust the oxygen to the required pressure. For the shooting and sucking harmful chanting giant, check whether the harmful chanting giant has the ability of shooting and sucking. The inspection method is as follows: first remove the B fast air inlet hose and bend it, and then open the B shutter and the sub preheating oxygen valve. At this time, put your finger on the acetylene gas pipe joint that is harmful to ice cutting. If your finger feels pumping force and can be adsorbed on the acetylene inlet pipe joint, it shows that the cutting torch has shooting and suction capacity and can be used; On the contrary, it means that the cutting torch is abnormal and cannot be used. It should be checked and repaired.
④ Check the air line by igniting the flame and adjusting the preheated flame properly. Then open the cutting oxygen valve and observe the shape of the cutting oxygen flow (i.e. air line). The air line shall be a straight and clear column with appropriate length. Only in this way can the surface of the workpiece notch be smooth, clean and consistent in width. If the air line is irregular, close all doors and trim the inner surface of the cutting nozzle with a through needle or other tools to make it smooth. Key points of manual gas cutting
During gas operation, first ignite the cutting torch and then adjust the flame. The size of the flame is adjusted according to the thickness of the steel plate, and then the workpiece is preheated and cut.
